Fish farming is the solution to overfishing. Fish farming
methods that are commonly used on a global scale do, however,
have a large negative environmental impact.
This is why several initiatives have been started to make
fish farming more sustainable.
EcoFutura is one of these initiatives.

The project studied the possibilities
of integrating fish farming in a closed cultivation
system as is normally used in greenhouse farming.
This is the most sustainable method of fish farming
because recycling water, heat and space is given priority
and contaminated water is not discharged.
